Meet Steve Shrader's BrightMare
This yellow '99 Mustang GT, nicknamed "BrightMare", was the car that started it all for the 7000 member Yellow Mustang Registry and now for our latest abnormal project: E85Mustangs.com .

After running E85 Ethanol for over 2 years on the stock fuel system, we pulled the forged 4.6 engine back out of the car to add a set of ported Fox Lake 2v heads. Previously on the stock heads, it put 527 to the tires. After adding the new Stage 2 heads, and a new smaller blower pulley, the Pro-Dyno rollers puked up a 660 hp dyno graph! That's a small 281 cube 2v modular motor with a Vortech S-Trim, turning out 660 ponies and 551 lb/ft of torque. The new ported heads are what really make this thing breathe on the top end, and the dyno graph shows it. Although peak power shows amazing results, it's also worth mentioning the 110 lb/ft of torque gain at 6500 rpm!

BrightMare recently made an appearance on Speed Channel's show Pass Time which allows 3 show contestants to guess your ET. It surprised everyone when the car went 10.57 at 136 mph on drag radials. Video coming soon!
